| I think that this song is about Ken (the lead singer) at the wedding a someone who he used to be in love with. I think that they are still friends, but he is sitting at her wedding reflecting on how her life is complete but his is still unfinnished i.e.- "while your story's completed mine is a long way from done." This is a truly amazing and beautiful song about a guy who just wasn't ready for a life-time commitment, and his girlfriend left him to find someone who could give her what she really needed. The background vocal are amazing too...the song sounds great with the girl's voice sailing over the chorus. | |

| i think this is a song about him skipping out on his wedding and leaving his fiance "i'd toast to the future but that'd be a lie" | |

| this song is about a breakup. it's not that sad, though. I mean, it's sad ... but not whiney | |

| I think of this song as when I knew someone who was 16 when they died in a car crash, and the guy's friends were in the car with him when he died, but survived the crash. This song just fits with them because they must feel awful that they were there and cause they were such good friends. I think this song is about losing someone you love, and then drinking it all away to forget it..."and for the million hours that we were, well i'll smile and remember it all, then i'll turn and go, while your story's completed mine's a long way from done"...it means for the short time that we were together, it wasn't long enough to be with you, so i'll just go on even though i don't want to, because your life is over, mine will suffer over you until it's done also. *I miss you and in memory of a.m.w. and b.t.w, to all their friends as well...* | |

| i don't necessarily have anything to add about the song, i think it seems pretty straightforward in the message it's trying to convey. but in response to those who have asked about who the female vocalist is on this track...it's Emily Sailers from the Indigo Girls. she also guests on Vonda Shepherd's "baby don't you break my heart slow". she really is an excellent vocalist, her harmonies on this song are impeccable. | |

| i think this is one of the best songs ever... if you think kinda "deep," this is what i think it means.... what are the differences between wine and champagne? wine~ more expensive, but doens't taste as good... and takes a while to make... champagne~ not AS expensive, but tastes much better.. doens't take as long to make... what he experienced was "champagne" love... a sweeter, more exciting love... it didn't las long, but while it did, it was good... a "wine" love, would be one that may not taste as sweet, but is so far beyond champagne... b/c things have been crushed and broken to make wine.... i believe that in order for a person to experience a long-lsating love, they must first be completely heart broken... so this was simply a "champagne high" ... it was love, but not the neverending love that.... dating and the honeymoon would be "champagne", and the beginning of your life together would be beginning to make the wine.... i hope that made sense to someone; ) | |

| this song is defintley about ken's ex-girlfriend wedding. at the concert i went to last week he said that if you ever get the opportunity to go to the wedding of an ex to do it. you won't regret it. and right before the opening lyrics he said "go and drink as much free champagne as you can!" i love this song. | |
