Skunk Anansie - Weak

Tab by Avarice's bassist - Charlie Bruce

This is the basis of the main riff
(intro, verse & chorus)
G|---------------------------------|
D|---------------------------------|
A|---------5-5-3---3-3-3-3-3-3-2-3-|
E|-0---0---------------------------|

And this is the basis of the bridge
(played 3 times after the second chorus)
G|-----------------------------------------------------------------|
D|-----------------------------------------------------------------|
A|---------------------------------3-3-3-3-3-3-3-3-5-5-5-5-5-5-5-5-|
E|-3-3-3-3-3-3-3-3-5-5-5-5-5-5-5-5---------------------------------|

That's the whole song, it's a pretty lame bass-line just played like that
though,
so when played live, mess around with octaves and timing to give it some
interest
in the verse and power on the chorus. This is what i normally play...

intro & chorus
G|---------------------------------|--------------------------------|
D|---------------------------------|--------------------------------|
A|-7---7---5-5-3---3-3-3-3-3-3-2-3-|-7---7---5-5-3>-----------------|
E|-0---0---------------------------|-0---0--------------------------|
note: > = let ring

verse
G|-------------------5-------------|
D|---------------------------------|
A|---------5-5-3---3---3-3>--3-2-3-|

and feed into the chorus with

D|----------------------------------|
A|---------5-5-3---3-3-3-3-3-3-3333-|
E|-0---0----------------------------|

bridge
G|-------------------------------------------------------7-----|
D|-------------------------------------------------------------|
A|-------------------------------3---3---33-3-3-5---5---5--5-5-| x2
E|-3---3---33-3-3-5---5---55-5-5-------------------------------|

G|----------------------------------------------------------------------------|
D|-------------------------7--------------------------------------------------|
A|-------------------------------3---3---33-3-3-5---5---55-5/1717171717171717-|
E|-3---3---33-3-3-5---5---5--5-5----------------------------------------------|
note: 17th fret, not 1st then
7th

variation to match vocals' rise in last chorus
G|-4---4---------------------------|
D|-2---2---------------------------|
A|---------5-5-3---3-3-3-3-3-3-2-3-|
E|---------------------------------|

I think this song is absolutely amazing. I think it's about how deeply she felt for someone and then a sudden realisation that she could do better, and that she was stronger because of her relationship.
