	I believe this song refers to war-propaganda machines of some nations (Can't say in which war), who have endless thirst of men. So they work like vaccuum to "sport" the war. In the end it's just complete massacre and if I understand right the last lyrics: They don't ask soldiers for glorious final-swing, but how many people they still can kill. Word "Propaganda" is monstrous one, because it is descripted as "Death Ensemble". This is absolutely my favorite song of Slayer. I'm completedly hooked to it, lissenin' it 24/7. The First Season in Abyss: the bloody burning-hot temperature of war is very unpleasant experience. Soldiers are being drived mad, when they start to understand the reason for the hell. This is like unholy version of Le quattro stagioni of Vivaldi :D

	i love this fucking song. agressive as fuck with kick ass leads, not to mention toms awesome lyrics. what pisses me off is these fucks who bag slayer and say they are all about death and destruction. 	I don't think this song is about WW1, nor the Gulf War. I think it's about WW2. They make a referenece to the Rhine river in Germany. The song also has a WW2 feel to it with the lyrics on "strafing air blood raid" and war crimes, and the whole supreme art of strategy thing. This song is my favorite Slayer song!

	Its about war, particularly world war 2. they also have WW2 clips when they play it live too. PLus, MIke_81, this not the last Slayer classic.. god hates us all had Disciple and christ illusion has loads more. Bostaph added a new style of drumming for them, which lombardo adapted for the new album. But yes Lombardo is a god.

	I hate to be a historical pedant but rhcprox, the scorched earth policy was developed by the russians during their retreat after attempting to fight the german invasion. according to stalin, the idea was to leave behind "not a single loaf of bread, nor a single railway carriage, nor a single bullet" or something along those lines, to stop the Germans gaining useful shit. So right war, wrong side. And as ever, Slayer deliver the goods with a fucking excellent song backed up by some dead-on lyrics.
