holy shit, listening to you guys arguing about which covers are better is damn funny. as for the corruption and evil or rap lollapalooza06, you have never heard real rap until you've heard someone freestyle. do punk bands ever improvise?

master_piece, it's always been called "Rap", not Hip-Hop. Hip Hop is a type of Rap music, like Gangsta rap etc. Plus I'd rather stick with rap than hip hop

I have a cover of this song by Pennywise (I don't know if it's them or mislabeled) and it's really awesome and hilarious. I would LOVE to see Snoop Dogg's face listening to it, how would he react? P.S. It's my birthday! :D

Okay, first off, the Country version that we have all come to love was done by a bluegrass band from Texas called "The Gourds" (you can find the information at the Phish FAQ at http://www.phish.net/faq/ginandjuice.html). I'm looking right now for who did the punk cover of the song. Frankly, I like the bluegrass and punk versions much better than this one. But by far the best out of all of them is the Saturday Night Live "Jack Handy" version of the song. It doesn't do all of it (only up to "so turn off the lights, and close the door"), but it is absolutely hilarious to hear this deep voiced white guy speaking with a very white-bread voice and saying "Shee-it, I got a pocket full of rubbers, and my homeboys do too" and "I got bitches in the living room, gettin' it on" and "Its kinda hard bein' Snoop D-O- double G"

Punk sucks, the punk cover of this song sucks, and hip hop rules. Lollapalooza, how about you shut the fuck up for a while, ok? Christ, punk is the ONLY form of music that I hate. It's just... so damn bad!

there is nothing better in this world to do, than while in the car with your aging mother start signing this in the whitest voice possible. "Hey mom, guess what?" "What?" "I got bitches in the living room, getting it on, and they are not leaving untill six in the morning (six in the morning) "Stop that!" "sheiit i've got a pocket full of rubbers and my homeboys do to"

the cover that says its by phish on limewire and kazaa and such things...its actually by the gourds. they're a bluegrass band, thus making this song ten times better than snoop dogg could ever do, even if it is his song.

ahh i know the thread died in 2003 but o well. It's funny cause rap is on the decline while 'emo' or whatever you wanna call it is creeping up on them, not that i like either all that much. honestly, im sittin here at U of T and yeah there's a few people hanging on to rap and hip hop... but the vast majority have moved on. Rap is boring and repetetive, thats why the simpletons like it...

Am I the only one who actually likes and appreciates BOTH Punk and Hip Hop? God Damn, most of the people who posted on here are so fucking ignorant! "Rap Sucks! PUNK IS BETTER!!!!!11111" Please, Just shut the fuck up! "Rap is in! NOBODY LIKES ROCK ANYMORE!!!!111 ROCK IS DEAD!!!1111!!!!!111oneone" Shut The Fuck Up! Ignorant bastards. I actually appreciate more than one music style. ANYWAY! This song is pretty much about how funky Snoop Dogg is. About how you can just sit down and chill the fuck down to the words and grooves of Snoop D to the O to the Double D... Awesome song.
