| "Getting too busy to make amends I should try to make it right" - the couple is getting too busy to mend their relationship. Hes too busy but he knows he should care about saving their relationship. "Are you ready for the shit to hit I think you say you are but aren't Doctor make it better instantly You're the only one who can" -Hes angry and frustrated that they cant work it out. "I've waited here my whole damn life And I've forgotten what I wanted" - he's been holding onto the relationship, trying to wait for it to work but it was a waste of his life. "Maybe I can do it If I put my back into it I can leave you if I wanted But there's nowhere else that I can go" - He wants to leave her now since hes so frustrated but he has no where to go and he feels like nothing without her. He needs her yet he can't stand her. "Maybe I won't suffer If I find a way to love here I'd be lying to myself But there is no way out that I can see" - He tries to love and not have any suffering from it. He knows he would be lying to himself if he keeps staying in a relationship he cannot work out or feel like hes in love. "If I lied you'd know it instantly So I just had to look away" - If he promises to her it can work out, or he promises to change or he says "i love you" its obvious to her he doesn't mean it. "...I never knew the taste of blood till now It's clear I never should have known Breathing fire was never this much fun So there's a dark side in us all" - Hes in a fight with her, he probably got slapped or punched so he "tasted blood in his mouth" 1. Its now clear to him that he should of exit the relationship a looong time ago and not even try wasting time to make it work. And the "breathing fire was never this much fun" is meant as sarcasm. | |

| im not sure it is about a relationship. maybe his sick of everything in his life? like lauradonaghy said feeling restless. from the blood in the mouth lyric and the doctor making it right it sounds like hes been in a fight. maybe hes bored of the people and the fights and his lifestlye of the place he is living. maybe he cant afford to move away from his home or family so he has no choice but to stay and is frustrated? | |

| Definitely a break-up. the relationship's ran its course and it's difficult for him to convince himself otherwise. As for the looking away, if, like me, you're a rubbish liar, you just don't say anything, look away, keep the other person from seeing what your eyes could betray. | |

| Agree with the sexyness The bit that stands out to me is the "getting too busy to make amends/i should try to make it right" it seems like there's a difference between amends and being right. Like it won't help to fix things but you have to follow through too. That's just me. | |
