| i think the song is saying that MIKE NESS (NEVER FORGET HIS NAME) that he lived his life to the extent, had all the fun he could, shootin up and all that, and he finally found someting he loved (heroin, and his gal) and he couldnt chose between them... and i just completly forgot what else i was gonna say THIS SONG ROCKS | |

| Way I hear it, the lead singer of Social Distortion (name slips me at the moment /_\) was in jail for a time, and he wrote this afterwards. I think it's about living for the moment, as others have suggested, but I also think that there's a message about how sometimes you have to fight for what you believe in ... and sometimes, to protect those you care about, you have to surrender and pay your dues. | |
