Well it seems she killed her husband. It's me and the moon," she says I got no trouble with that But i am a butterfly, you wouldn't let me die "It's me and the moon," she says It seems like shes always been alone because he never cared or what not. And the you wouldnt let me die. I think she wanted to die and this guy who didnt care kept pushing her and makeing her feel worse. Like why are you gonna back down are you that worthless. And all that. This part just doesnt fit at all and seems out of place But what do you say we go for a ride? What do you say we get high? But I'm so tired of days that feel like the night. But this song is great and its a song i listen to when i go to bed and i put on repeat. Its truely great.

Favorite sone from North. i think it's pretty obvious this song is about suicide. This woman, extremely unhappy with her marriage/relatinoship. All she got was a daughter after 17 years. She's all alone, just with the moon. If you read through the lyrics, it makes sense. As for the butterfly analogy. I think in this song, it just represents that after she is dead, she has no worries, she is happiest. and along with happiness comes beauty. Alive, and entrapped in the cocoon of her marriage, she was unhappy, alone and miserable. She's released from that after she pulls the trigger. She's a butterfly.

the first thing i thought was "wow! this song has some really pretty cords in it." but when i first heard the words, i was a little creeped out by the first line. you hear all this pretty music, then it goes to talking about murdering people. don't get me wrong, when i heard the whole song, i liked it.....but i mean, can you truely say that the whole "it's a good year for a murder", and "blood stained the carpet" didn't catch you off-guard just a little?

The first time I heard the song I thought it was obviously murder. I found this site and then my feelings were kind of mixed on the subject. Then I saw Lindsay007Gurl's post and thought she made a lot of sense. Listening to the song a few times after that I decided it was about murder, in my own opinion. It's true that you can't fix dinner when you're dead, suicide doesn't really fit with this song. But anyway you interperet it, it's still gonna be an amazing song by an absolutely incredible band.

This song is about a woman who hates her husband enough to kill him for never letter her live and the butterfly symbolizes freedom and beauty which she never got to experience seeing as seh was too busy being a wife and a mother to this man who didn't appreciate her and her child with him.

i can't really what this means, although i think she murders her husband...that's just what i get from it anyways. it's a beautiful song and i love SoCo... i sometimes listened to it while i slept and this song is just so beautiful, it's perfect to listen to in the weird time between being asleep and awake.

I'm confuzed when it comes to "It's me and the moon" she says. But the rest of it sounds like this wife who killed her husband.
