Band: Something For Kate
Song: Monsters
CD : Echolalia
I had some trouble putting in the correct timing for the
chorus, so just figure it out by listening to the song.
During the bridge part and the ending you are pretty much
free to improvise as long as you stay with the sound, use
what as I've tabbed to get you started.
Steph plays this in standard tuning, or we have a serious
problem here.
If you use this tab, please rate it and/or comment on it.
Otherwise I'll assume noone is using these and won't bother
tabbing anything else for you.
_________________________________________________________
There is no bass in the intro, Steph comes in during
the verse after a few bars and a little fill by Clint.

ENDING
Essentially the chorus with slight variations here
and there, if you enjoy improvisation then this is
a good time for it, because I'm not tabbing it all
out at the moment. You could get away with simply
repeating the chorus if you want.

| Great song, it has different meanings depending on you and what mood you are in. At the moment i feel this song is about fighting with yourself and trying to fight off your deamons | |

| This song kicks ass, i feel like it was written for me. It seems like one of those "bad days" where u just wake up and want to change. nothing's working for u "u can't get with the program..it's like trying to think in reverse". You just keep searching for hope and answers. But you become plagued by your past deamons and monsters that are allways trying to "wipe me out". Then you go back, and "hide under-water ... and buy some time" to get away from all the BS of life. "Trying to be two hundred thousand years younger, So i could excuse myself from humankind " is one one my favorite lyrics.....it seems like he's just tired of living in such a superficial world and he realizes how mean and uncaring some people can be. he wants to get away from that sort of life. But his monsters just keep shutting him out and making him believe what he knows isn't true. He's tired of living in such a world of hate and wants change, and wants freedom above all the rest. You can tell this when he says "i don't want to be a container"..he doesn't want to be trapped... | |

| I agree this song is about personal demons or monsters! The writer Paul Dempsy claimed at the time of writing this song that his personal monster was writers block! Something For Kate rock and I hope to see more lyrics of theres on here in the future | |
