SATAN IS BORING
Bass tab by Chris Lawrence.
there's really very minimal (if any) bass on the studio
version of this song... the live version (aka "supermix") on
the flower single has the following recurring bassline:
G--------
D--------
A--2-----
E-----4--
though it's possible that the pitch is slowed down a half-step
and the riff is really:
G---------
D---------
A--3---0--
E---------
here's to redundancy!

| This song was inspired by an incident in New Jersey in 1984 where a young man and his friends got high on PCP and, inspired by the Satanic imagery in the metal music t/he/y listened to, kidnapped and tortured a teenager nearly to death. Namely, the idea of Satan being nothing compared to the evil within "ordinary" people. It's also a brush-off of heavy metal acts who use Satanic symbols as a shock tactic, which I agree is... boring. | |
