I think Thurston is saying in this song, that his girlfriend is only pretending to be in a bad mood so she can get her way with him, and kind of play the guilt trip. And he's telling himself not to fall for it. That's what the song means to me anyways.

A great way to kick off an album like Confusion is Sex, I love this song. Lee is banging strings with a drumstick in 4/4 time and Thruston is smacking a fucking cowbell against his guitar neck, all while Kim drooones bass E notes and tapes play wierd whirly noises around the drums..I don't know, I'm no musician, but this song is wild and percussive and dirty. It makes my Mom "anxious." I love it.

Hmm... I have to say that this song is about someone who goes and does bad things(cheating, perhaps), then acts all pouty and depressed to avoid the subject being brought up. He doesn't question her lies to her face, but he knows that they are lies.
