Song: Becuz
Artist: Sonic Youth
Album: Washing Machine

Basic Riff:

G|---------------------------------
D|-4-4---2-2-2---------------------
A|-------------5-5-5---7-7-7-------
E|---------------------------------

I think thats it. Sometimes it seems to me that they just play the first note
and let it ring a few seconds and then play it again trough the whole song but
it sounds also good if you just play this riff throughout the song.

According to Chris Lawrence's page, this one's a homage to Patti Smith's "Because The Night". Seems like a straight forward love song to me, lyrically. Kim's vocals are amazing -it's so incredibly sexy the way she whispers it while instrumentally there's all kinds of things going on. It is maybe my favorite song all around. The way the guitars are played blows me away, especially Thurston's, doing this weird tuned percussive riff. Overall, the song rhythm I can only describe as sexual -the beginning hurling through the climax where the guitars go wild, then it slows back down while you're still enjoying whatever just happened ;-). Or maybe I've just been listening to it too much :-P
