| bcn246... what dude? eric's trip named their band after the song. why would they write a song about some band who was influenced by them and came out some odd years later? | |

| Of course this song is about a drug trip LSD to be exact. Actually, its about (and contains some actual lyrics from) Erik Emerson's drug induced monolouge in the Warhol film Chelsea Girls There you have it. Enjoy | |

| I always loved this song. It's one of Lee Ranaldo's and SY's best. It reminds me so much of going to college in the early 90's. What a trip! And the band, Eric's Trip, named after this song, is great too. Try their album "Purple Blue" | |

| Personally I think this is about the band "Eric's Trip" not about an acid trip. | |

| The general gist of this song is obvious, but if you break it down some of these lyrics are amazing "I was the door, and you were the station with shattered glass and miles between us we still flew away in the conversation". You can actually see it happening. Some hella good writing right there. | |

| I'm thinking this song is probably about an acid trip, and how everything in his life seems grand and important because he's high. | |

| I think it's about how jocks and preps do acid for the wrong reasons, to get 'totally wasted'. | |
