you'll have to listen to the lp to see how many times to play each note.

intro:

G---------
D--5------
A-------7-
E---------

1:28 --> E--3--

then when the drums come in, she starts playing:

G---------------------------------------------------
D---------------------------------------------------
A---------------------------------5--5-5--5-5-5-5-5-etc
E--3-3-3-3-3-3-3-etc etc etc -----------------------

she might play the g's an octave higher, i dont know..

chorus:
'get to you'
G-------------------------------------
D--5-5-5-5-etc------------------------
A-------------------5--5-5--7-7-7-7--
E-------------------------------------

break:

G--------------
D--5-5-5-5-5-5- etc

Greatest Song ever. Really. I bought Daydream Nation a about a year ago and it took me about half a year to get past this song. It's just...perfect. The crashing guitars, the dead-pan vocals (that contain more energy then any dead-pan vocals ever sung), and the bridge that hits aroudn the 5:30 second part. It's incredibly hard not to air guitar to this one, I can barely contain myself (heh). Just. Fucking. Awsome.

The majority of you people are absolute fucktards. Minor Threat are so far off being Emo, its not funny. Daydream Nation was released in 88, not 87. Why did i even bother coming back here? Haha..Minor Threat, emo....fuck you.

MINOR THREAT...EMO???? Wow. First off, emo is a made up genre that people say they like to be cool. Emo doesnt fuckin exist. Second off, you are probably thinking of Fugazi (even though they aren't considered emo either). Sorry about that anti-emo rant. Anyway, I don't see how this song can be about J Mascis... I think it's another basic Thurston song in which the meaning is so blatantly obvious that people can't comrehend it. Don't get me wrong, I love SY just as much as you, but sometimes their lyrics have pretty simple meaning (which isn't necesarily a bad thing)
