	This song is based on the William Burroughs character in Naked Lunch. Mildred Pierce is a reporter covering the atrocities enflicted on civillians by soldiers during war.

	Actually, this song isn't based on that character... If you watch the video for it, you'll see that it's about a character Joan Crawford played named Mildred Pierce, from the movie of the same name. Great song, great video as well.
