JUST BECAUSE THEY MENTIONED POT DOES NOT MEAN THEY'RE STONERS. this song is simply about life. stop over-analyzing things.

I think it's a song about the life of a stoner couple.

I just love this song. I know it talks about drugs and stoners but it's still pretty good. It's really catchy and it's just great.

Spoon is SOOO Underrated. These guys have been writing the best pop music of the past 5-10 years and nobody knows who the hell they are (besides indie hipsters I guess). "Kill the Moonlight" is a classic LP you all need to own ASAP.

How can you all have missed this? Shake Appeal, Some Wierd Sin and Down on the Street are all Iggy Pop (The Stooges) songs. This song is about being young and blissfully idle, and how the music you listen to forms a soundtrack to your life. This group of young people, self made bohemians, have created a carefree lifestyle for themselves, while listening to iggy pop. They (Britt Daniel) are saying, this is what we like, what we do, what turns us on, in this life we have made.

I think this song is awesome, and I may be wrong but I think the lyric is "we make love to some with sin" not "we make love to some wierd sin" or at least thats how it sounds to me.

Great song, very catchy. Just wanted to chime in with a little clarification: "Fall in love to Down on the Street" is, I'm guessing, a reference to the classic Stooges song 'Down on the Street'. And that's all I have to say. Really.

"Some Weird Sin" and "Shake Appeal" are BOTH Stooges songs. (the lyrics above are wrong on both of these). "Stormy Weather" is a standard too, but I'm not aware of the Stooges doing it. I think this is a straightforward song about being a young stoner in a group of the same.

i think this song is also about a stoner couple, but a really romantic one. The guy singing "thats the way to my heart" is my favorite part of the whole song, its like he's talking to me..ok maybe i am getting off on the subject.. WE GET HIGH IN BACK SEATS OF CARS WE PUT FAITH IN OUR CONCERNS they do what they want and just care about what they want to. Great song that just sticks with you

I think this song doesn't have to do with a couple at all it's about the life of the average teenager today. I also think it's about society and peer pressure about doing drugs. I think the songs saying what a teenager has to do in order to get by in highschool. maybe what they do isn't fun or what they would want to be doing necessarily but it's what they have to do in order to fit in.

i'm not so sure that it's specifically about a couple, but it's definitely pot-related. Maybe just a bunch of kids?
