As part of the US mainstream punk explosion of the mid- to late 90s, Sprung Monkey mixed elements of rap and ska to their already explosive sound, often described as a heavier version of Sublime. Originating from San Diego, California, USA, Sprung Monkey was formed in the early 90s by Steve Summers (b. Honolulu, Hawaii, USA; vocals/guitar), Mike Summers (b.
