| It seems to me that if you take each thrice album in view of christian faith, that identity chrisis professes a strong belief (ultra blue), illusion of safety confesses an inner conflict with christian faith and it's hypocrisy (betrayal is a symptom) and now this song seems to display a complete loss of faith and the discovery of an absence of devine presence. The fact that god is thanked profusely on their first two albums for giving them the unique chance to express themselves speaks to the notion that they do in fact write songs, occasionally, about god and christianity. Or maybe I'm an idiot. | |
