I think this is about someone who is having a lifestyle that's bound to lead to problems eventually. Perhaps a song about alcoholic problem. I'm thinking about the line "your lies your world is built around two faces of a clown", indicating that you pretend that everything is normal in some situations while in others you show who you really are. And both faces are actually a joke. Also the line "so you better check yourself before you check out" might be about admitting that you have a problem. Great song anyway!
