I don't know if it was about boys returning from war, but if it was, I doubt it was about Vietnam. Troops coming back from that place weren't exactly singing and shouting about spending 15 years for a lost cause. It sounds more like WWII even though Ireland didn't fight in that war(Northern Ireland did however). Boys coming back from WWII were very joyous and happy.

Phillip was from Crumlin, I think. This definetly is not the best Lizzy song, it is great though. I always get the urge to go down to Dino's to buy chips and a burger after listening to this

Brian May definitely has Thin Lizzy beat when it comes to dual (or more) simultaneous lead guitar harmonies, and, at that, I'm sure someone's even done it before him.
