i agree with thewhitepony... this person realizes that the other person wasn't helping them in any way but hurting them and making them something that they don't want to be. so they break away from that person.

If you don't like that song, you know you don't have your life complaining how you hate the songs of today. That's nice of you to have an opinion, but you are wasting our time and preventing us from doing out "lame" stuff. In other words--screw off.

yea I get the point, its the same as the songs point, which is a good point, and the song is great, but geez the video is just so bad. it just makes me want to laugh it doesnt seem serious at all.

okay..this song is about bad parents! The singer doesn't want to turn out like his parents. I think the parents neglected him and just didn't care about him. The parents thought they were too strict along with neglecting. The kid didn't want to turn out like his parents.

This is what Adam said on their website about this song: "Just Like You was written about the way that people get forced into doing something you don't want to. Working in the family business, taking certain courses in school that they hate because their parent said so. It's about feeling like you're trapped, until finally, you stand up for yourself, and live your life for you, and no one else."
