	this song is amazing, very powerful without being overly sappy. I didnt picture the singer with mohawk when I first heard the song but whatever. Anyways i think the song is about the relationship between a teenager and there family, and how they know they love them but they can't stand to listen to them or interact with them.

	To me it is just about love/hate relationships. It expresses how I feel about almost everybody I find I am close to. I love them to death but...i hate them in some ways as well. I really love this song because it is so straight forward and many would be lieing if they said they had never felt that way about someone before.

	I'm sure it's not what the song was meant to mean, and that I'm gonna get yelled at by some close-minded religion bashers, but I can't help but think that it's a perfect picture of our relationship with God. He loves us but hates what we do... hate the sin, love the sinner. It also applies to an addiction, like drugs or eating too much; you know it's bad for you, so you hate it. But you can't seem to keep yourself from going back to it time and time again, because you love the momentary physical (or otherwise) pleasure it gives you.
