| Thursday are so poetic, everyone is entitled to their opinion. it's nice to see a sort of 'break-up' song that isn't whiney bullshit. | |

| yea, it even says radio waves... LOL i think the radio thing is symbolism for the communication in their relationship. Thursday loves symbolism. I do to. I love Thursday. Like a gaint happy family.. heh.. | |

| This is a really great song. Too bad they didn't play it live when i went to see them in Pittsburgh. This song could be interpreted many ways by me. Anyone know Geoff's theory to it? | |

| they should have these poems in a textbook. you can analyze it so much, everyoneshould just read this stuff and be enlightened. thursday is one band that i want to see owning the charts because they deserve all the fame and fortune that they want, and i want everyone to have theyre minds and eyes opened a little from theyre music. thursday is my favorite band ever. | |

| i think it's just me, but i have a thing with specifically this song. i wouldn't say that though..wait..i have a thing with all thursday songs. but this one i like a lot, and i have no idea what they're talking about. transmissions have something to do with cars, as they talk about a lot in their songs. it's strange. geoff has a certain writing style noticable in all their songs. you can tell it's the same person writing them because he uses the same words sometimes..im kind of jealous of him haha. i wish i could write like that :) | |

| This sunlight cutting through the open fields. Can't be communicated by radio waves. And through this flashlight keyhole memory. Receive a thousand signals and can't respond. I think the "open fields" is signifying a lot of distance between him and his gf and how there's no way to express how much the distance sucks. the part about the memory is saying how after you haven't seen some one for a long time, the memory of them fades and gets smaller til it's just the size of a keyhole. and the last part is saying how maybe after they've broken up, he can sense something.. maybe that something's wrong, in a kind of telepathich way but since they're broken up he can't call and do anything about it. ??does that make sense at all? | |

| the last line pretty much sums it all up. One of the few thursday songs about relationships gone wrong but overcourse they outdid everyone else who tried. it's short and sweet, none of that whiney lost-girlfriend crap. bravo | |

| so in transmission is about the failure of communication in a relationship and the second stanza speaks about the false portrayal of the relationship to those around you just to make things seem ok. The lack of communication and respect causes the failure of the relationship that is what it says to me although im still trying to think about it. Do people actually talk about song meanings or just rabble on here? I mean i see some good insights and then just rabble about the band i would appreciate more actual discussion about the song to provide more insight and points of view | |

| hey...no one's said anything about this one. well, I like it. but then, I just love everything thursday does. this song in particular is cool because it starts kinda quiet/mysterious/slow, then of course has the good thursday punch to it...gettin' louder, yellin'...yah, I'm listening to it this second. good song. | |
