| I like this song. It applies to my school year. I'm really standing so close to the time where I can let go. Means a lot to hear a song like this. | |

| This song is extremely poetic.. it talks about not only about how love can be really confusing, but also about how a relationship you're in can collapse without much pressure to it at all.. wrong breath, wrong step.. full collapse. I really really love this song though. I think that the underlying morals relate back to the album title, full collapse. | |

| This is my favorite Thursday song! "So we stay on the open road. We drive for hours and still no end in sight at all. Driving in your car, miss the stop sign, fall in love, just to get knocked out." bootiful! | |

| First off, I agree with the most of people on this thread. I have to say that whenever I see people that listen to THursday or emocore for certain reasons, it makes me happy. To see people that can truly appreciate this world and the emotions that throw it in it's axis, is just a beautiful sight. I have read every thread on Thursday on songmeanings.net and I have to say I'm extrmeley happy. Not saying I am one to judge, just I think it's awesome. Standing on the Edge of SUmmer, to me means the energy of life and the energy of summer. "We drive for hours and still no end in sight at all. Driving in your car, miss the stop sign, fall in love, just to get knocked out. " It celebrates the love that we all cherish and the beauty of summer, the transition to Autumn. I think that when most people read about Summer.. we think many great thoughts.. just as youths we all love Summer.. and I think this song represents all our love of Summer. Geoff, to me just writes about the purity of youth and the joy and the rapture we all share during Summer. This is just my interpritation. This song I love, because if you listen to this song: Chicane - Autumn Tactics (A BEAUTIFUL SONG!) you really do understand the energy seasons have on us all. : ) | |

| i agree with all the meanings here, but i'd like to put a meaning on a line people don't mention very much... i was watching a movie this morning and sort of found a meaning to the lines, " In this house of cards we're all holding hearts and spades (one breath, one step could knock it all down)" in the movie i was watching this morning, a little boy reading tarot cards drew all hearts and spades. apparently the hearts mean love (well, yeah.), lots of love, but the spades mean fears, problems, and obstacles... it just sort of gave more meaning to the song once i learned this... it's really about regretting relationships... | |
