| "This song is about a street, Division St. and we use to spend alot of time there. It was a whole new world, and we saw alot of people change because of what that street opened up to them. Bad things, like drugs and alcohol. We eventually decided that we had to get away from the street, so we did, and we never want to go back." -- Geoff | |

| I feel like Geoff writes atleast one song about New Brunswick, and how rough of a city it was, on every album (this side of brightness, cross out the eyes, and division st. id say). i like the running themes through this song obviously the lights out thing and the "i'm repeating...i cant keep repeating" if geoff writes a book i'm gonna read it. | |

| But, what about the references to the fever? Burning up... and more obviously, 'The fever that will not break'. I'm really not good at any of this stuff, so I wouldn't know. I just know that this song is off the hook. My personal favorite off of War All the Time. | |

| Wow, I concur with the rest of you guys. Sooooo many good songs in this CD, but this one just grips you. When you sings softly (and I'm not gay LOL) I just melt. Thursday has an amazing way of just painting the entire picture of something with pure emotion. It's like if you just read the lyrics, you'd be like yeah they are deep and amazing, but hear the song with it and its just like the key into the doorway that opens up a whole world around you. Anyway, I also agree that this song is about a place where people have settled along with their distorted emotions of insecurities and hatred. That he was wading among the muck of people left on these cracked streets and vacant industrial buildings. This whole album just gives you this surreal view of industry and what its like to be working down below with other salary slaves. And yep, that's where I am right now. Just waiting... Waiting for the winds to pick up. Waiting for my dreams to blow me up. | |

| From an interview Geoff said that song dealt with his old friend's still doing hard drugs, and his girlfriend lived on division street. When he got to his girlfriends house she was either breaking up with him/or found a new man. When he left her house walking back he got stabbed by some thugs on the street. | |

| my favorite line is "to dance between the scissor's blades without getting cut" to me it's talking about how geoff played with death everytime he went to division st., either by being around people that were trippin out on crazy drugs and doing stupid shit, or by doing the stupid shit himself. But somehow he lived through all of it, even though some of his closest friends might not have. | |

| This song has alot of cool imagery - it gives me the feel of an air raid - the droning open bass and clean chords feel like the siren and alarm, and then - boom! the song explodes and planes are overhead, searchlights scan the sky, but the X is marked - and the night is pouring down! | |
