-=-=-=-=-=- Tyler -=-=-=-=-=-
by Toadies from the album "Rubberneck"
Tabbed by Dave Miller (dwm3@po.cwru.edu)

As with most Toadies songs, this is a simple song that is
pretty much straight forward. Even though it's easy, it is
quite powerful.

| This song helped me out alot. You see, I live in south Texas, little town called Alice, and; when i was in the Marines I would have to drive all the way from North Carolina to visit my family and new wife. So, in a way this song reminded me of that. It kinda got me pumped up to see my wife. Cause I new that she was at home pretending to be happy when she really hurt inside of missing me, and waiting for me. blah blah blah right. Well, that is what i got out of this song. TYLER, | |

| Well, I don't know what it means I'm a big fight club fan...now stay with me here...one of the main characters in fight club is named "Tyler". The end song in "fight club" is a song by the "pixies" called Where is my mind"....these two songs are remarkably similar..."Tyler" is the alternate personality of Jack... So I think this song is supposed to be the alternate personality to "where is my mind" I recommend download and compare! | |

| Interesting that you would choose to compare this song to "Where is My Mind". When I saw them on their last tour at First Ave in Minneapolis, they closed with a great cover of "Where is My Mind"...I recommend downloading it!! I believe this song is about following a girl and eventually raping her in the end. | |

| burden brothers played a show in Grapevine, Texas here not to long ago, it was a small gig, but they were pretty good. they played a couple of toadies songs and they sound a lot like the toadies, but of course when your singer has a voice that's that distinctive it's hard not to sound like the other band, but anyways. they were pretty awesome, i'm going to buy the cd when it comes out. | |

| Once you figure out the lyrics for the first time, you immediately know that the song is about a stalker and rapist. Freaked me out when I figured out the lyrics (it's hard to tell what he is saying in some places, but these lyrics are correct.) | |

| This isn't the only song on the RubberNeck cd that is about rape. Possum kingdom is also about rape, or so I've heard. I love both songs. And I see how people say they are BOTH about rape. Toadies were and always will be one of the best bands I listen to! | |
