This song is a record of Maynard's own experiences with the third eye. The third eye follows a theory that there are subtleties that can't be seen with our normal eyes. It's suggested in the lyrics that Maynard follows this path like a religion, and that he induces his visions with drugs.

Personally I like the Salival version of this song better .... Dont know why? Except that its got more feeling to it. Wait I actually like the live versions of all their songs better.

This song is the best Grand Finaly to an album ever made. It just shows the musical brilliance of Tool and the fact that they beat the crap out of all mainstream bands, in talent, musical ability and ability to write lyrics that make no sense whatsoever:). I especially like the little recordings at the begining of the song, (that for some reason are not mentioned here) they bring it all together. If Mozart were still alive he'd be proud.
