| its pretty simple life and death parabol = 1 parabola come up then come down. its a math term throw some thing in the air it will come down some where else. his talking about being born start of a parabola. second half is death and the spirals in between. its just life a parabol =1 1 life be happy life to the fullest thats my farkken message i got from it. then when its over it starts again picture pushing a ball, ball boucnes around all differnt till it stop lie and death and the spirals(what happens) inbetween, onces its over the ball is pushed again, differnt life. re incarnation. the question is what push's the ball, u can think to a certain extant, then its blacked out and your back were u started!!! dont bagg me for what i belive, tool music lets u create your own meaning. thats what makes it so good | |

| see look shanangans, dont try to understand what maynard was writing...i think somehow that he want you to have and individual meaning...and thats what this website is about:to have an individual meaning.i think that the meaning is correct but dont just think the song has the meaning that maynard had when he wrote the song, create your own meaning if it falls into the boundery of the song...this is to everyone | |

| This song is fantastic. The whole of lateralus flows like a story. One track flows into the next so easily. I think this is before you are born, in the womb "all this pain is an illusion" is when she is giving birth and the pain is just an illusion to cover the beauty of the baby! heehee | |
