| So true stayhuman, this song is amazing, I didn't think that much of it until I stoped fiddleing and closed my eyes, and just listened to the intertwining melodys and emotions. I tells ya, the images that this song brings to you is icredible, there is no other song that has done this to me with such power and control. But the best thing about it is (like most good songs, but reflection more than anyother) it starts off making you feel one way and leaves you feeling something totaly different. What an epic indeed. | |

| OK, now that I'm not about to pass out I can explain this better then what I last did. To me, this song is saying that human beings are selfish, racist, stupid, and other things. We refuse to help each other. And he is simply saying that if we do help each other, the potential of the human race is neverending. And if we don't? We'll end up destroying each other in one way or another. | |

| This song to me is maynard talking about how he has come to close to wanting to know what death is like. And that he has had to have lots doubts and reflection over death. and he hopes he hasent gone to far into the state where he dosent belive in god and hes contradicting himself and hoping that if a god or god (the light passing over him as in the song) will pull him out of this state and still except him into a higher level of life which is heaven. thast my opinion anyway, tool fucking rules. | |

| The views that everyone has expressed are truly depth felt and beautiful, as I'm sure Maynard intended his audience to come forth. This song is my ultimate favorite on Lateralus. This album is the masterpiece of Tool's collection; it's pure beauty and gorgeousness. This is the track that is on repeat late at night when I'm in the car and the wind's in my hair. My mind and thoughts just flow with its rhythm. | |

| Spiralout has nailed it. After coming out of a severe depression, you deffinitely feel "reborn" with a higher consciousness | |
