| This is the first song I ever heard of The Turtles. I heard it many, many years ago and then I heard it again when it was in Adaptation. Also, I saw a movie called My dinner with Jimi. If you're a Turtles fan, you should see this movie. It's cute. It really turned me on to them and I've been in love with them ever since. | |

| HE,S debating calling his supplier, so by writing a perfectly written song and singing about it, He can Imagine in detail his love for love, and keep his ten dollars in his pocket, thus his wisdom. Imagine me & you, I do... | |

| I kind of hear the darkness but I thought it was about some guy stalking this girl and living in a fantasy that they are together. | |

| This song was played at the end of a French movie about a son who was sleeping with his mother and the mother had died and he was sexually excited just being near her. Yes, sick, I know but it fits the song somehow, that dark, stalker, obssessive "happiness." | |

| I first heard this song on Radio Luxembourg sung, not by the Turtles, but by someone called Graham Bonney. For a while this version and the one by the Turtles competed for chart place, and the Turtles won. I became a Turtles fan, buying other singles ("You Know What I Mean", "My Girl"), and then persuaded my mother - I was 14 at the time - to buy me the "Happy Together" album. I still love Howard's sexy voice! Happy Together is just a LOVE SONG. | |

| Eleanor and You Showed me are just as good as this one I think, I am 19 and an oldies nut so I'm an odd one lol. I heard in an interview with the lead singer that while it sounds like a happy love song, its suppose to be a guy that is wanting this girl that he can't have. THat might explain the dark undertones. | |
