---------------------------------------------------------------
----------------0----------------------------------------------
-0-------------------0-----------------------------------------
------0----3--------------0----3-----10----8-7-5-3-1---------10
2. possibility (the first one is taken from the song but i like this much more! try it i
think it sounds much better!)

verse(4 times):
----------------------------
----------------------------
-------0-22-02-33-2323-3-232
-33-2-3---------------------
now to this

then 30 seconds before the song ends it goes to this (only one time)

-33-2-3-----------------------
--0000-0000------------------

| This song is on the surface about sexual jealousy. However, Larry made the comment once it is about a clandestine affair one band member had with a fan that turned potentially risky. | |

| Good song, especially the opening. The last guitar note before the vocals may be one of the best chords ever played. As to meaning, I can see this meaning a lot of things - in my case, unrequited love. The breakup thing does fit most perfectly, but it's overall generically emotional. | |

| This is my all time favourite song - U2 are my favourite band and this song means so much to me. I think it's a masterpiece - it's very powerful. It doesn't neccessarily make me cry, it's just makes your heart pound because of the way it builds to the chorus. Truely a work of art | |

| I really wish I could talk to non-U2 fans about something other than the stuff they made in the 80s. they have so much good music in the 90's too, and this is a prime example of one of their best songs. | |

| This song is about a woman who is dangerous and amazing at the same time. The protagonist falls in love with her... but eventually things get too wild and the protagonist eventually finds himself in emotional quicksand. They are an emotionally dangerous person: "You're an accident waiting to happen You're a piece of glass left there on the beach Well you tell me things I know you're not supposed to Then you leave me just out of reach" All the while, the protagonist loves this person, her love for him is genuine, but tainted in a way that is hard for the protagonist to deal with. This woman will do anything for love, but she's very damaged: "Well you stole it 'cause I needed the cash And you killed it 'cause I wanted revenge Well you lied to me 'cause I asked you to Baby, can we still be friends" I mean, it's all pretty self-explanatory. She's a wild woman who doesn't know any stability at all in her life, and when love comes along she tries her best but things ultimately FAIL for our protagonist and he's left wondering how she can possibly fill the void he reluctantly has left behind. He's worried. My favorite lyric is "who's gonna taste your salt water kisses"... salt-water = tears | |

| I also do think, the song is about a broken-up relationship. Right bradleyb, "who's gonna taste your salt water kisses" ==> they often argued, she cried and they made it up "The doors you open, I just can't close" ==> he can't give her, what she wants/needs My favourite part is the end, in my opinion absolute despiration: Don't turn around,... => I don't need you anymore, "piss off" Don't you look back, ..=> Come on now love, don't you look back => I still love you, please return...but she does not return | |

| An absolute masterhit from Achtung Baby, one of the best songs on the album. This song relates to a break up, and certainly is good to listen to if you go through one. Bono really puts emotion into this song and makes it stand. | |

| for me i think this song is about a break up between the guy and his girl friend who is very hard to deal with so the guy reminds her how he suffrered alot from their relationship and he is asking her who would it be the one who will take the place of him and will ofcourse suffer alot from her so wild horses are symboling her bad mode so he is asking her who is the one who supposed to stand your bad mode and behavior | |

| I agree that it's a generic love song, sung about a girl that's left him. But it's done with that great U2 grandeur. Each phrase is so melodramatic, but the last is so simple: "who's gonna take the place of me?" Sums up the whole song really. I always felt that Bono is laughing a little as he says it, poking a little fun at himself: ("man, I could've saved these buggers a bunch of time if I wasn't such a ham...") | |

| This song is Jesus's response to Judas's betrayal in "Until the End of the World". lyrically, Jesus forgives Judas and offers salvation at the end of the song- "heaven's rose, th doors you open.." even the inflection in bono's voice in this song is brighter and less sinister than in "Until the End of the World" where he sings as Judas. | |
