his is the bass tab for U2 Mofo (Popmart Version)
Regular Tuning, Tune down half-a-step Eb.
Verse:
G----------------------------
D----------------------------
A-33000300030003355667-------
E-----------------------------
Chorus:
G-----------------------------------------
D-----------------------------------------
A--11--9--11---9-11-9----9-----9----------
E----11-----11-------9-11--9-11-----------
Chorus originally tabbed by Mark Linwood.
I am not sure if the verse is played exactly like that in concert. It is too hard to make
out because of the distortion.
This is the sweet chorus that is played from the PopMart Tour. This chorus version is
only played live, not on the studio version.
Have FUN!

| I think the first scant singing just says "bubble popping, sugar dropping rock rock and roll" This song is definitely about his mother, but I still don't know exactly what it means except for the part "mother, am I still your son..." which are pretty obvious. I think who says that in the lack of faith and his mother Bono lost himself can be right. 'Looking for the father of my two little girls' At first I also thought it was the pervert side of Bono, but I don't believe that it could be that bad. I wonder what Bob Hewson thought when he listened this song, LOL. | |

| Bonoīs mother died 2 or 3 years before U2 was created. Itīs the baddest trouble in Bonoīs life... He made I Will Follow to his mother... As we all might know, he is catholic and he has been searching for something, I guess itīs God or redemption... Thatīs why he made I Still Havenīt Found What Im Looking For... MOFO is about both: god and his mother... He lost his mother and he still havenīt found God... So he lost himself. Great song. | |

| ok i have to admit it. when i first heard this song, i didnt think "wow bono loves his mum. thats beautiful". i thought "uhh bono wants to fuck his mum. thats interesting." now, i read that his mum is dead. so i dont know what to think. necrophilia anyone? haha but seriously his tone and some of the lyrics are pretty weird "mother sucking rock and roll"... "show me mother". that, his voice, the mood of the song and the title freaked me out. also the fact that the weird voice in the background seems to be saying "been around the front, been around the back." ok ill leave this one alone now. oh and by the way, POP was a great album. why is difrence always condemned? | |

| This song is so groovy. I think it has a good beat, but it is too bouncy to be taken as a serious song. I think that Bono was just stringing pop phrases like kool and the gang says "sophisticated momma". however, I could be wrong, since these comments are connected with bono's biographical facts. | |
