This reminds me of Communism, but it really sounds like they're on drugs. Don't get me wrong, U2 rocks, but "gimme some more of that stuff" ?

Hey bugmenot, i think ur right! I always loved this song and video but never thought about the lyrics. After reading them here, this is a perfect drug reference...for those who would know that ;)(4:20...official smoke time). Maybe 'media overload'?

It´s about media. And media is Zooropa´s theme. Watch the videoclip of NUMB and you´ll see it. TV tells us what we gotta do... but in the end, we do NOTHING. We´re numb by the media. Media controls us.

I just recently discovered this song, it's absolutely awesome! Nice to hear the Edge doing some solo singing. Very cool!

I think it's about drugs. That's what every song on this site is about... I'm addicted to this song, too much is not enough. And not least because I can sing it perfectly (and I don't mean The Edge's part).
