| I think the reason some people don't like Spencer Chamberlain is the fact that he never really grunts, therefore forcing Underoath to adopt a "Screamo sound". AoD and CotP were more metal, while They're Only Chasing Safety, The Changing Of Times, and Define The Great Line were more along the lines of Metalcore. Define The Great Line was a lot heavier than Chasing Safety and Times, perhaps with the next album, they'll get their Metal feel back. | |

| The difference between "Acts of Depression" and "Cries of the Past" is most noteably the addition of a keyboard. It adds a whole different dynamic to their songs. I was a huge fan of AoD but this album blew me away also. Is there any old school Underoath fans that doesn't like the new stuff like me? And if you like Dallas Taylor (old Underoath vocalist), then check out his new project Maylene and The Sons of Disaster. They're southern trash metal but it's absoultely amazing. | |

| Great song, but not a lot of support from the hardcore community on this site, which is too bad, because this band is amazingly talented. | |
