Henley, I think you are wrong. Firstly by this band being out there and listened to they /are/ making a change. Even if it is just a tiny one, they may be influencing people, inspiring people, who knows? But it does make a difference. That'd be like saying authors/poets/song writers who simply 'bitch' about a situation don't make a difference but that is wrong because alot of them touch people on a large scale. Secondly, I don't think the song is really suposed to change anything, although I'm sure it does to atleast one person, I think it is just a way of expressing the bands opinion.

Too bad the song doesn't mean what the band wants it to. "America" is all of North and South America. A person in Brazil can call themself American and be correct; the song should've been directed toward an actual country, like the United States.

if you like this song, you might like Anti-Flag, Against All Authority, Agent Orange, Choking Victim, Leftover Crack, Pennywise, Propaghandi, Rise Against, The (International) Noise Conspiracy, The Exploited, Toxic Narcotic, and U.S. Bombs...and this is a GREAT song

xkylexkeyx: Only citizens from USA call themselves Americans. Everybody knows America refers to the USA. Otherwise it would say North America or South America. You don't hear someone from Chili saying their American. They say Chilean or South American. When someone says Fuck You America EVERYBODY knows EXACTLY who it means.

Nova: I agree I love my country , I don't however love the government. The US ain't perfect, but it could be ALOT worse. How would you have liked to live under the Taliban or something like that?

You people make me happy that I'm NOT one of you. Do I agree with all the policies and actions of this country? No I don't. But despite this, I'm not going run around waving middle fingers and cursing America. Punk is about seeing something you don't like and advocating change, not bitching and moaning about it. As a final thought, every time you run your mouth about not liking your country (I do it too, don't worry), you should THANK the US for granting you the right to do so. Free speech can't be taken for granted, and in general, freedom isn't free. Have some respect.
