Bassline is straightforward and pretty simple.
Bass rests until 1:11 and then:
G|--------------------------------------------------------------------|
D|--------------------------------------------------------------------|
A|--------------------------------------------------------------------|
E|---2--2-2--5---5--4--4-4---------72--2-2--5---5--4--4-4------------|
B|--------------------------0-------------------------------0---------|
That is the main line that is repeated many times in the song... The
basslines DOES vary between hitting that last B note on the low B string
and hitting it on the 7th fret of the E string
The pre-bridge is E/C#/B/B/A/A
The bass notes (although not the root of the chord) for the bridge are:
E/G#/B/D
Enjoy!

| I first heard this song with my sister. (she and all her roommates are obsessed with vast, as am I) It hit me as a wonderfully sad but beautiful song, with such meaning. It is one of those songs that make you (or, at least me) want to turn it up, until it is shamefully loud, and just get lost in it. It's great. It's one of my all-time favorites. | |

| A really nifty song. Does wonders when you are depressed. It tends just to give me a weird sense of hope. I really like it. | |

| I think it's just a beautiful song altogether - the lyrics and the background music and his voice! | |
