I always heard it as "now, a shiver comes now now/a shiver comes now now" etc. I guess it works both ways.

I Think the song is about waiting for a girl that those ugly velvet guys can't get so their in their rooms looking "Ah oh, it looks so good" at their penises (ie they're gay) "Ah oh, she's made out of wood" jacking off while they kept writing the same thing over and over again cause they couldn't cum"wink"up"wink"with"wink" anything good..

Good song, very simple. I've never heard the Nirvana version, but Galaxie 500 did a very good cover of it.

Well sarcasm aside It's not about a girl coming at all. I believe it's about losing faith in love, seeing it hollow, and wondering if you will ever find purpose and meaning through it again.
