Tabbed by Spencer

This is my absolutely perfect, note-for-note tab of “Blister
In The Sun” by the Violent Femmes, from their debut album. I tabbed
this because every single other tab of it is wrong.

Note: the ‘P’ in the chorus means pop that note with your middle
finger. The rest of the song is played with a pick.

Notes in parenthesis are implied or ghost notes.

I think it's a fun song and twisted and great, but too many people end their listening experience of the wiolent femmes with it. They are an amazing band and a lot of their other songs are deeper and more thought provoking than this one.

I agree with BeautifulDisaster. I believe he may be fantasizing about making his girlfriend cry with delight while he is, um, staining his sheets. I do believe it's more an ode to masturbation than anything else, though.
