I'm a big fan of this band and their extremely technical and talented musicianship were
one of the factors which
drove me to become a bassist. Trawling through the internet has always proved fruitless
when I looked for tabs
of their songs and thus, I decided to do it myself! I hope anyone who uses this will become
a bigger fan of this
great group and that this will help them be a better bassist. Learning their songs sure
helped me.
As for the tab, its littered with errors that a better player would notice in a second.
I'm not sure of half of it. Some
days i'll play an A# instead of an A or a B, but this is the closest I've gotten to an "average"
sound of the notes.
This is also my first attempt at a tab for any song, so please, send me suggestions of what
you think the notes
really are: the _fuzz85@hotmail.com

I believe Blacky plays the song with a plectrum (I use the heavy black Dunlop one's).

INTRO

G[----------------12-------------------------|-----------12-----------------------]
D[10--10-10-10--------------------------|-10--10-10-10----------------]
A[------------------------9--9-9-9-7--|-------------------------9--8] x 4
E[------------------------------------------|---------------------------------]

Do this four times for the intro

VERSE

G[-----------------------------|
D[-----------------------12---|
A[--8-7-11-10-13-11----10| x 2
E[-7---------------------------|

CHORUS

G[------------------|
D[----------------7-|
A[-1---3---5--5--5| x 4
E[3---5---6--6-----|
^
The timing for this bit is tricky (from the A# to the last D in the section);its like 1234,
but you have to hold on to the A#
and sort of pluck off the A on the D string.|

BRIDGE AFTER CHORUS
0:51

G[----|------------------------|------------------------|-----------------------|
D[ ---|--12--3-------------3-|--12--3-------------3-|--7p5--3-----------3-|
A[-5-|---------5-5p3-3h5-5|---------5-5p3-3h5-5|---------5-5p3-3h5-5|
E[----|------------------------|------------------------|-----------------------|

A B

Then alternate between A and B til the chorus returns at 1:12. The sequence is repeated,
and then at 1:52,
1:52

G[----------------------------
D[-----------------------------
A[4---432-7654---432-765
E[-----------------------------

1:57

G[--- ------------------------|
D[-----h5-4------h6-5------|
A[0h4-------0h6------0h5-| x 4
E[----------------------------|

Repeat this four times. Its hard enough to get play, but its just a matter of geting used
to the timing. I only pluck the open A's, the A# on the
D string, and the G on the D string.

It then goes back to the previous riff, and then repeats the sequence, ending like this:
2:16

G[--------------------------------|
D[11-11-11-11-11-11-11-11-|
A[--------------------------------|
E[--------------------------------|

2:18

G[----------------------------|
D[-----h5-4------h6-5------|
A[0h4-------0h6------0h5-| x 6
E[----------------------------|

Lengthen the 4 and the 5 on the D a little to give that slight jazzy swing sound that he gets.
2:30

G[--------------------------------|
D[11-11-11-11-11-11-11-11-|
A[--------------------------------|
E[--------------------------------|

2:32

G[--------------3h0--|
D[----------0h3------|
A[3-3-3-3-----------| x 4
E[--------------------|

Very fast. My best guess and it sounds ok..

2:38

G[-------------------------8-| |---------------------------------|
D[----------------------------| |---------------------------------|
A[3h6-6-6-6-6-6-6-6-6---| x3 |3h6-6-6-6-6-6-6-6-8-8-8-6-|
E[----------------------------| |---------------------------------|

Not sure of that octave on the G either, but it sounds ok.

Them two riffs are repeated until they are both played three times each overall. Then
the chorus comes in again.
3:09
CHORUS

G[------------------|
D[----------------7-|
A[-1---3---5--5--5| x 8
E[3---5---6--6-----|

BRIDGE BEFORE END
3:49

G[-------------------------|
D[10----------------------|
A[--12-13-10-11-7-8---| x 2
E[-----------------------7-|

END

G{--[-------|
D{-4[----4-|
A{---[4---| x 12 ?
E{---[2-----|

I dunno if thats the exact no. of times, but just do the 1-2-3 thang until the song ends
on the F# on the D string.

Thats it. Hope its easy to follow. Any questions or improvements, email me: the _fuzz85@hotmail.com
