the meaning of this song is far more important than that paper i should be writing right now, so: i think the tone of this song is definitely nostalgic; the guy is pining, if you will ;), for a girl that he doesn't think he really deserved to hook up with, and knows he will probably never hook up with again. And "hook up" is used in the least shallow sense--it was more like a divine experience than a hookup. On the bright side, he's grateful that he had the chance to experience something so wonderful with someone he viewed so highly. obviously an awesome weezer song, and captures rivers' self-pitying, introspective character of the old days.

My favorite b-side...this song RAWKS. I know this'll make me sound like a loser, but I always think about when I was 16 at the Homecomming dance and I danced with this girl I had the hugest crush on. We had never said anything to each other, other than "hey," but the dance was the greatest dance ever. Even to today our conversations consist of "hey" or "whats up" but I'll always remember the dance. Check out "Only in Dreams" also...that one also makes me think of that....but I'm a big loser anyways.

Geez, why haven't you guys commented on one of the best Weezer besides ever? This song is so great. It's pretty self-explanatory though. Just about how there's one night with one girl that he'll never forget. I'm sure we all can relate to something like that. I know I can.
