RIGHT AFTER THAT...

Gb|-------------------------|

Eb|-----------7-8-8-8-8-8-7-|

OUTRO

Gb|--------------------------------------|
Db|--------------------------------------|
Ab|---4-2--------------------------------|
Eb|-5-----2(bend 1/4 step and release)-0-|

this may not be entirely right, but i'd stake my life on it
being more accurate than the one that was here before.

(note: on the one that was here before, he tabbed his Eb notes on
an entirely wrong octave)

This song to me, is Weezer describing what it is like to go on tour - *to a strange and distant land*. The fact that their touring was hectic after the success of The Blue Album; globally.

i always thought he was saying "on this road - hermaphrodites". shame i was wrong really, cos that would've been a way more interesting holiday. anyways, that's what i think...

i can't believe no one has picked up on this. the song is full of jack kerouac puns. for those who don't know kerouac is a famous writer often referred to as a "beat neck" generation leader. "on the road" is a book that he wrote and a "bivouac" (they wrote it wrong) is a temporary shelter. "heartbeat" is a movie about him. i'm sure there are more, but that's all i could thnk of. smooth out on the eazy-e tip!

"On the road with Kerouac, Sheltered in his Bivouac, On this road we'll never die..." I love weezer oh-so-much. yay for clever lyrics... in a kickass song... although, as an album, i prefer pinkerton.
