| pinkerton is a great cd because of rivers' depressed mood while writing the songs. its widely known that the best art is that which is dark. look at shakespeare's hamlet, picasso's cubist period, van gogh, etc. these were all dark pieces of arts/artists. anyways, RIVERS DOESNT PLAY PINKERTON STUFF ANYMORE BECAUSE HE SAYS HE DOESNT LIKE THE ALBUM BECAUSE ITS "TOO PERSONAL". plus, have you all heard maladroit yet? it sucks!! dont buy it, its no pinkerton | |

| the song was written about a real japanese fan who sent rivers a letter. pinkerton does kick ass...but it didn't sell very well, and i have a feeling rivers thinks he is capable of more. don't give up on the weez yet though...their new cd maladroit (out may 14th) is gonna kick some major ass! | |

| Gosh why does everyone always have to freakin dog on the beloved weezer?! I think you guys should just leave rivers alone, he can write whatever he wants. I personally don't think he writes all of his music so it will all sell really good. He writes what he feels. Anyway. Pinkerton rocks. | |
