I love this song. I can't believe there was only one comment. I can play Pinkerton over and over and over and over...it's a great cd.

I posted a similar comment for "My Name is Jonas", but I absolutely adore this song and especially the lyrics...its that whole realization of "Hey I'm old" when you have a moment where you realize how much your life has changed, and the people around you have grown up (or haven't in some cases), how time is fluid and essentially flies by. Where has it all gone? And just exactly where am I? Its that whole introspective quality of this song, and this album, that makes me love it so.

this song is about a period in River's life when his leg had metal through it to extend the bone. each day he had to turn a screw to separate the bone another millimetre to make the bone grow longer. the song is about how he was sick of feeling like and old man with a walking stick and how he wanted to 'get back to the good life'

this is, hand down, the best song off Pinkerton. This song is about Rivers' loneliness he went through when he got his leg operated on and had nothing to do but just be alone in home all day. It was a depressing time in River's life, which is what makes Pinkerton suck a great album. It would be really cool if Rivers gets depressed again so he can write like this again. Things just havn't been the same since after Pinkerton.
