Best weezer song! "I'll bring home the turkey if you bring home the bacon" how can you beat a line like that? Pinkerton is def not appreciated enough!

El Scorcho is by far one of the best weezer songs out there, Pinkerton is completely under rated. Rivers has a way with words, and he proves yet again with a new look at the pitfalls of falling in love

well i think this is conveying river's frustration about how simple relationships should be, but how complicated they turn out. the "how stupid is it...." bit shows this cleary, and as most of these bits in weezer songs (egh "dear daddy...." in say it ain't so, they convey the complicated feelings as simple as possible. at one point he is even shouting "for all i know you want me to" which is a very frustrating thought. and the obviouse referances to maddame butterfly back up this pain and frustration

"i'm a lot like you so please, hello, i'm here, and i'm waiting, i think i'd be good for you and you'd be good for me" my boyfriend used that line to hit on me. how sweet.
