| yeah anni's right, i have the same problem. like in my case im normally nice to people but if i ever state an opnion people get offended and always throw all your niceness back in your face, one bad thing will overide a thousand good things that youve done. i dont know if people will make sence of this but its what it means to me | |

| Wow, I reeeally can identify with this song... there are just certain people in my friendship group or people that I know who are EXACTLY like this towards me. I can say something perfectly innocent and it will be taken out of context or exaggerated in a way that people think that I hate them or something... It just seems like no matter what I say, I'm going to offend someone. The worst thing is that if I retaliate, people are all like "woah, relax we're you're friends so don't get mad at us". Sigh. "I don't know what to say", basically. | |

| I can identify with this song a lot. Actually, I think just about everyone can. You try so hard to live up to people's riddiculous expecatations of you, but in the end, there's nothing you can say or do that everyone will be happy with and you'll just feel like you 'offend in every way'. I agree that it's about a guy meeting his gf's parents. | |

| yeah..... i agree.. Im not the person to tell u what is wrong or right, but as most of this has NOTHING to do with the song, u should maybe tell others in a chat or something, but this is still songmeanings. Not 'talk about how much u love the band' .... i guess this song describes how he always feels ppl misunderstand him, when he says anything they always take it the wrong way and then are offended, althoughhe doesnt mean to offend. And that just pisses him off. I can totally translate to that. | |

| i think the last (actually second) verse is about a guy meeting, and then trying to impress his girlfriends high-class parents, but he just keeps messing up (Offending In Every way), and then the second (actually last) verse is her consoling him after he messes up big time. B.T.W., fun to play. | |
