| Dusty Springfield seems to be going out on a limb, Meg's voice is nowhere near that powerful. Perhaps Meg's singing is to emphasize the 'young girl longing for an adult romance' element of the song. | |

| okay, talwib, first off, like, the verse: "You make me feel a little older Like a full grown woman might" wouldnt that make her YOUNGER than the guy? since he "makes her feel a little older" i think if it was about a younger guy she would say "you make me feel a little YOUNGER" | |

| This song is obviously about her love for an older (possibly) man who other people don't exactly like ("I don't care what other people say. . . I'm gonna love you anyway"). I like her voice. . . it's not the greatest, but it's very cool and smooth. | |

| It's a weird sort of love song...something completely different, and one of the best ones of all time. | |

| I think this song is about incest. She hears the creaking of the kitchen floor because one of her relatives is coming to her room at night so they can shack up. She feels shame, but it just feeds her lust. | |

| I think it also captures an important element of teenage girl sexuality - desperate horniness, but no readiness to actually go out and get laid. So, she wants him to come to her. | |
