| i always thought that elephant was the best garage band-sounding album ever and this just proves it this guy likes a girl but feels that the girl doesnt like him so now he just wants to hypnotize her sounds like this guy is lovesick or creepy if (in his case) theres a difference and i dont think this is a replicate of 'fell in love with a girl' yea theyre both fast songs, but they hav similar, yet different meanings fell in love witha girl is about a guy who likes a girl and the girl is in love with 2 guys, and now hes just getting into a bad place becuz her other bf is chasing him down, something like that but this song is about a guy liking a girl but this song is different | |

| "So many times I called your house Just to hear the tone And though I knew you weren't home I didn't mind so much 'cause I'm so alone" - how does this fit to the interpretation, that boys are deceiving? What's deceiving about this? You'd read all the lines, I think it's about shy man in love. I only could imagine that what you read as irony is a literal description of a man's feelings, which are insecure, he's not sure if he'd reveal himself completely to the girl without having a "way out" or something. "And if this comes as a surprise Just think of all those guys Who would tell you lies" If you are a girl I once more discovered the main problem between men and women. ;) | |

| Johnny Rivers did Secret Agent Man. I never drew that parallel before, but who cares, it's still a damn good song. | |

| 'elephant' is a great album but i don't like this song much. mostly because i think they were trying to replicate 'fell in love with a girl' with this. the breakdown in the middle is the best part. | |
