	I agree with everyone who says this song is about wanting to get some, and telling the girl "just do it, it's instict". But when i first heard teh song, what it meant to me was more that he just wanted to be with the girl in general, and he's saying "It's so natural for us to be together, so JUST GET WITH IT!" anyone agree?

	i think this song is just about how instincts just take over us. how every one just needs to fuck sometimes but sometimes theres n o one to fuck so you get desprite and instinct cause you to do thing you'll regret

	Um... I'll take a leap and say it's referencing the phrase "the birds and the bees". You know, the euphemism for the sex talk you give kids. As for how the phrase came into use, I have no idea.

	Jack, believe it or not, is straight forward. He doesn't try extremely hard to be clever or to hide things. Sometimes you just have to know what he likes and what he does. I truly believe this song is purely about sex and the reflection upon the part of her personality that tells her not to put out. I think it's that simple. It's the blues.

	candy cane child, i agree with you, this song DEFINITELY stands out among the otehr on Get Behind Me Satan...it's really one of the only truly rocking songs...this is straight blues here, it's really an excellent song. I think its about how Jack is frustrated with someone (probably a girl), and he relates it to nature. He says how it is instinctive (hence the title) that almost everything in nature gets 'it', and he can't understand why his girl can't 'get with it', and he's fed up Maybe he's mocking her out, calling her an idiot? That would be a nice homage to Dylan's 'Idiot Wind'

	This song reminds me alot of Jimi Hendrix. Its basically about a guy whose pissed because everyone is getting laid, even the animals, but he's not.

	wow, i got the cd and this song is the first one that jumped out at me. this song has the intensity and emotion of old rock- real rock. i'm not exactly positively sure what it means tho... i've only listened to the cd twice all the way through (but htis song like 10 times already). my guess is that there's an unspoken "secret" going around, and everyone can see it, but the person this song is written about. and he just wants her to see, so he doesn't have to say anything.( ya my guess is it's about a girl)
