| Ive often wondered what this song really means...actually alot of Zombie's lyrics. I know they have a deeper meaning than the exterior and take alot of thought. He is such an amazing songwriter, one of the most overlooked i believe. There are alot of interesting comments here. | |

| marinbryce2: The United States is _hardly_ the only nation to have red/white/blue as its colours. Ever hear of the United Kingdom? France? 'Duuuh' yourself, twit. Thanks to those who did their research, rather than just applying knee-jerk ethnocentrism. | |

| This is just one more example of an amazingly cinematic song... definitely the best end-cap to an album ever devised (if you don't count the hidden track), and an amazing fusion of world and metal | |

| Rob is making references to the Sirens in The Odyssey. The Sirens are very beautiful mysterious women who stay on an island and sing. Their voices are heard by any passing ships. They are lured into the beauty of there voices. hence Hypnotize the desperate Once lured in they meet there demise and are killed. These Sirens show no signs of aging. Their beauty is everlasting they sing for eternity luring in the weak minded. I do not sleep - Seduce The world it never Screams Dead water lies Ride the only one who Knows - Beauty never dies I’m guessing all the “ohhhhh ahhhhhhh” ‘s in the song are the Sirens. Very hypnotic song. One of my favorites from White Zombie. | |

| There has to be a lot more to it than just the Siren and the tribe. What do they have in common, should be the question now. That's what I am trying to figure out. They are not just lumped into one song for no reason. Yeah some people above quoted lines, and they fit the Siren, but what about all the others? I doubt they were put there just as 'fillers'. "Animal whisperings Intoxicate the night" Perhaps has something to do with the animal spirits of the ritual? I read the tribe believes all cattle was given to their people by the Rain God, Ngai, so perhaps that may be where the 'Sky' in Blood, Milk and Sky fits in, and also what he is referring to when he mentions rain, perhaps. I'm not sure. It's going to be a hard song to fully understand. The Siren does play a large role in the lyrics, I just dont know how it fits in with the Tribe. Perhaps it is someone from the tribe being called by the Siren, during the ritual. | |

| im gonna have to go with high5inmfer's theory, it makes more sense, but who knows, maybe it's the title that has to do with the whole african tribes thing. Indeed, it is a VERY powerful song, and it's powerful I think because of the beautiful siren chanting in it. | |
