The intro to this song vaguely reminds me of the beginning to Marshall Tucker Band's - Can't You See. Regardless, this song rocks as do all of their songs!

timmy_r! I think they're trying to give LA a different outlook. I think they're look at it as a place to escape to where their dreams can come true. Especially the last part: Oh break my chains girl, Show me to the land, Where people live together, Try to understand GIRL isn't a real girl, it's the city. He's hoping this'll be his big break and his chance to be free and do something he wants to. Also, could it be talking about Hollywood? Or are you all sure it's LA?
