you guys need to think outside the box and quit thinking every song is about a girl....cuz they arent. In this song he refers to Holly (holly is a place/lifestyle/ becoming something the writer doesnt want to become) He then says he cant get out because he cant let go of his lifestyle, its what he knows now. They came to this place to watch everyone not care and just let life walk bye. All that place did was find trouble in him and he started becoming like everyone else there. 2nd verse refers to how fast the place he was at took control of him . thats the basic idea of the song

The video is actually on YouTube right now...just search Yellowcard. Awesome video actually. And the meaning actually, even though it maybe about Hollywood and not a girl, it's not like people can use that context. Songs can have alot of meanings even if one of the bandmembers explained it to the point. But they are not saying that this is and only is the meaning. If people want to think it's about a girl, more power to them...if it can help them through whatever, then that's cool. I'm just stating.

it's about a fictional character, named Holly Wood. like in the last song on the record "Holly Wood Died". i don't think it's about a girl.

this song reminds me of jack's mannequin's bruised, you know the plane thing?! and I agree with keepthemconfused and rockbass, it's not about a girl, why everyone is so obsessed with love songs!?lol
